Oh my gosh, the garden plate! I will be dreaming of this all week.... and researching bread miso! My partner and I went to Inver when we got engaged and, despite the fact I can only remember a couple of the dishes clearly, I still count it as one of my most memorable meals because of how it made me feel. So much respect was given to every single ingredient and it was created and served with such passion, love and interest. A truly special place! Going to have to get my hands on that book now too.

Such a special place!! Did you stay over as well? My only regret is that I was still so full from dinner the night before that I didn't have as much of the gorgeous breakfast as I would have liked!

Ooooh no we didn't, when we were there the bothies were very new I think and we were staying over in Lochgoilhead. Our car got caught in a flood the day before and I remember being very worried about it on the drive there... And thinking those bothies looked very appealing! We were sad not to be able to see the beautiful view too as it was too dark. We'll just have to go back! What was the breakfast?

what a journey! Breakfast was a basket FULL of glorious things, thermoses of coffee/tea, and bottles of apple/orange juice delivered in the morning. I think bread and the homemade butter come as standard, but there was also the choice of boiled eggs, pastries, granola, yogurt, and rillettes or crowdie. A dream scenario that I wish would happen to me every single day, basically.
